Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a consultant or firm in the local area that can assist with a few issues for cloud hosting and Drupal?

We need someone who knows all aspects of cloud hosting, and drupal deployment in to the cloud. The two Cloud Hosting Providers we are currently considering are RackSpace and Michigan Colocation, but are open to other suggestions. Does anyone have experience with these companies?

Thanks!

Rackspace

Hey Skoral,

We do quite a bit of work with Rackspace right now with our internal systems and hosted clients. If there is something in particular you want help with, feel free to reach me via the contact tab on my user account and I'd be glad to help where I can!

Ditto Stephen...

Skoral:

As is Stephen, I am currently committed to Drupal in the Rackspace cloud, and have several strategies - and several XaaS-type solutions - I leverage for performant highly-available systems. Please feel free to contact me as well; I'm more than willing to "put heads together" (work with others here on your behalf) to come up with a solution for you.

Lots of options

Depending on what your needs are, the Drupal-specific cloud offerings might help streamline your dev/deployment process. I'm talking about Acquia and Pantheon. Each has its pros and cons but they both offer easy dev/stage/prod environments. If you need high availability Acquia offers multi-region failover. Pantheon does not support memcached and Acquia does not support redis, so that might make a difference depending on your preference. Those guys aren't so cheap though, and I personally am moving in the direction of Rackspace for multiple projects. Please check out our portfolio and contact me with any questions you might have! www.blackantelope.com
