Importing RSS feeds into Drupal - Assitance needed

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi All:
Had a question. I am new to feeds module and am trying to import an rss feed into drupal.
I can import but am only getting the title. I am looking to import custom files but done find them listed when I do mappings.

Is there a way I can parse out the data from the import and assign it to specific content types.

Here is an example of the rss feed - http://25livepub.collegenet.com/calendars/r18-all-performances.rss

When I create the feed importer, I am using the Common parser.

When I do the import, I get the title and the description but don't get any of the other data. Especially the fields labeled with X:CAL.

I was wondering if there is something I am missing or if there is a better way to parse this feed.

Thanks!

Add Link Field to Feed Item

Assume we're talking about Drupal7? In any case, if I understand the context right, you'll need to create a field in your target content type for the URL. You should get project/link as well, if you haven't already. Probably when you installed feeds, maybe you turned on the "Feeds News" module? (try saying that ten times fast). Feeds News installs content types called Feed and Feed Item, which are maybe a little deceptive, because Feed Item does not have the URL field. Add a field (call it URL, perhaps?) of type Link, and then map the rss source URL in your parser to that field. At least then you'll have the link saved with the feed item...

Adding content from XCAL data

Hi August1914,
Thank you for your response. We are working with Drupal 7.

New development concerning the original question.

We are trying to pull event calendar data in, I can't seem to parse the X:Cal data. When I pull in the feed, it just pulls the RSS data but isn't pulling the X:Cal data that is in the feed.

I was wondering if you had experience with importing XCal data into Drupal 7.

I am going to give some more tries today.

Thanks!!
