Dumb question: how to get content to display on section fronts?

I am playing with the new OP 3 beta2 and I'm trying to figure out how to get content to display on section fronts.

I've created section front content (Home page, News and Sports fronts), and I have associated the News front with the News section taxonomy and the Sports front with the Sports section taxonomy, but when I create Sports content and assign it to the Sports section, it does not appear in the Sports front.

I know I'm missing something obvious, but I can't seem to figure it out yet. Can someone point out what I'm missing?

Thanks,
Joe

If and when you find out, let me know. The obvious things (to me) don't seem to work so I've decided to do everything using context.

I definitely will share what I discover with this group.

It obviously has to do with boxes, and I've also attempted to add views to the page by clicking on the "configure layout" gear... according to the documentation, I need to add views to the page, but I don't see many views available (only Views: Openpublish Related Content, Views: Openpublish related content: Node author). I will create my own views, but from the documentation, it sounded like there were more default views?

I can get content to go there. Problem is, I can't seem to limit the content that goes there.
I create an article with sports section, it goes to every article section.

Have you figured out this

Have you figured out this issue yet?

I see the view: Recent Articles (filtered) which is for recent articles filtered by section. I assign that per section front, but it still displays the same article across all the section fronts.

Can someone verify if they

Can someone verify if they are seeing other views available by default when attempting to configure section pages following these instructions?

Also, is someone familiar with a good boxes tutorial that would help me get a better grasp of how it is supposed to work in OP.

It would be nice if there was a screencast showing how to set up section fronts in OP at the same time demonstrating/explaining the value of boxes for this distribution.

I can see some of its value (drag and drop, contextual editing), but it would be nice to see the bigger picture.

Thanks.

I'd like a better understanding myself.
It seems like there are a million ways to do this, but I imagine this was set up with ideal paths, and I'd like ti know them.

When you enable the RECENT CONTENT view, it opens up dozens of views.

I am going to try to create separate contexts for my section pages and then do the drag and drop and see how it goes.

I found today that if you use the OP Doc's advice, you get the same content populating every section head... at least the way I read it.

midek, thanks for your input.

midek, thanks for your input. When you say "enable RECENT CONTENT", where do you do that?

OpenPublish Related Content is already enabled in Views, but that only contains block and Node Author views. I don't see any other applicable views. Is there some other way/place to enable views?

Thanks.

Weird. I have uploaded my

Weird.
I have uploaded my content to two different places.
One has OP Recent Content
One does not.

Okay, I found what I missed.

Okay, I found what I missed. I wasn't seeing any of the other views because the other views features were not enabled in the modules admin.

if any one wants an explanation on how to configure OP to properly display content based on context, see this explanation from the issue queue. Thanks jec006...
