Mollom Spam Control Add-On for IIS Environments

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

The Mollom blog included some great news for IIS users this week:

Zion Security, a Belgium-based company specializing in the security analysis of web sites and systems, has used Mollom's open API to develop a Microsoft IIS module utilizing Mollom to detect and prevent comment and posting spam.

This module is unique in that it is a HTTP module coded for Microsoft IIS, comparable to an Apache module, and allows Mollom to potentially expand to a number of ASP/IIS based systems.

CMS Wire covered the release as well.

Anyone checking this out? We'd love to hear a case study.

Acquia Drupal on IIS and Sharepoint WSS3

mecvo1984's picture

Hi,

It's great to find this group supporting Drupal under IIS. We have Acquia Drupal w/ 4 subsites running off the same codebase on Windows 2003 IIS6. All is well. A couple of questions:

  1. We've tried a number of WYSIWYG text editors (TinyMCE, FCKeditor, YUI, etc.) w/ the WYSIWYG module. Does anyone have a recommendation which might be the better editor? We're using TinyMCE at present, but FCK which we would like to try has a weird problem with jumping up to the top of the screen when clicking the save button. This problem has been with all version of FCK (including the latest) that we've tried. Has anyone else seen this?

  2. Can Drupal and WSS3 coexist peacefully together? We've had a request to add Sharepoint to the same server that runs the Drupal sites. Currently the speed on the Drupal sites is very good.

Thanks in advance.
