By popular demand, here is a PM hangout event!

When: 9/20/12 @ noon EST til 1pm EST

Where: Meet in #drupal-PM irc channel

What:
- What do we want to get out of the DrupalPM group? Let's brainstorm ideas for how to do cool stuff
- Talk about something if a particular topic sparks group's interest
- Talk about other issues like meeting frequency, how to rebuild this community of drupal pm's, other ideas... etc

How: We'll do a google hangout unless people strongly object? Skype: also an option. And I have a plan C as well. Yes, we're dealing with PM's here :P Not sure how to hang out on google? Got you covered:http://support.google.com/plus/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1349254

Please share this information, and let PM's in Drupal know this is happening wherever you know them from - I don't yet have a very extensive list of people :)

Awesome idea! I have tons of question / dilemma about PMing for Drupal. I'm active on G+, but not too sure and kinda intimidated by Hangout. Can anyone shed some light / articles how Hangout actually works?

Hangouts are just video

Hangouts are just video conference basically. You click a link, join, and there is a big window and little windows. Each little window will have someone's video feed in it and when someone starts making noise they show up in the big window. If you're camera shy, you can turn off your camera and just listen. There is a text chat option as well if your really shy, or would just like to say something without interrupting the whomever might be talking at that moment.

Hi,
Great to see this having energy. I have two thingies:
1- Drupal projectmanagement (pm) as is for a drupal project
2- Drupal to support pm as a tool. This is still not that professional. There is storm, old stuff from http://drupal.org/project/pft but it didn't fire of enough I think.

Bye the way I am not a programmer, but a prince2 practitioner and interested in moving forward with drupal projects and glad to help if wanted.

Hi, just want to confirm the time and venue for today's meeting. Title above says 1pm EST, but start time states 12pm EST. Also, will we be using google hangout as suggested above; if so, do you have the link available.

For those (like me) who have never used the IRC channel -- http://irc.netsplit.de/channels/details.php?room=%23drupal-pm&net=freenode
Then click on the link under the chart and sign in.
The hangout link will be posted in that chat around noon EST.

Apologies to all. I had planned to be on the call but I have some fires that won't wait an hour to put out so it just is not going to happen. I will plan to be on the next and, since I'm not on this one, that means you get to assign me all the to-dos.
