Who's going to BADCamp this year?
There's a large contingent of folks in the Los Angeles area who are going, so feel free to post here if you'd like to offer or request a rideshare to Berkeley.

We'll be leaving from Droplabs no later than 11am on Wednesday morning and cruise up the 5 towards San Francisco.
This is an offer for a ride with some good tunes and conversations. You'll be responsible for lodging and food when we get to Berkeley.

Good point! Our ride (offered by Christo above) is also without air conditioning. This vehicle has excellent ventilation and the lack of air conditioning hasn't been a problem for us.

Going up but not back
On Wednesday I'll be going out of Huntington Beach around 10 a.m. I would be happy to pick anyone up along the 5 though L.A.

Looking to ride-share and room-share at a hotel
Hello all
I've got a nice, safe car and I will be heading up Wednesday afternoon from Bakersfield. If you can make it up here and want to split gas from here - I can be flexible on my departure. I want to attend most or all sessions on Sunday and return. We have a Greyhound bus station here if you want to ride up that way - I can come pick you up.
In my car I have room for two or possibly three more (if we all travel light - I have a Camry).
I have yet to book a hotel room for Wednesday thru Sunday - I'm hoping to find someone to split split a cheap room with.

I'm curious what the ratio of offers vs. requests is. Have those who have been offering rideshares mostly been hearing from interested travelers outside of this thread?
In my case, the travelers interested in driving up with me contacted me privately. (Interestingly, one of them is going to San Francisco but isn't even going to BADCamp!)

I offered a ride and got one private reply - our travel needs did not match up. I signed up with feelsys to share his car and a room he found on airbnb.com - we started on the thread but obviously worked email for all the deets.
Having directly benifited from this thread I must say it was a brilliant idea!

No just kidding. I have a veggie diesel luxurious 30 yr old MB with which I am probably driving up on Friday eve and coming back on Sunday eve. I may also leave on Thursday. Have gotten no responses yet.
