We are pleased to release another Android application from the hands of Mobile4Social.com.
In this case, the owners of WikiVillage.co.za were looking for jump into the mobile world, and decided to use our technology as the basis.
- The site has its own responsive design theme, which is in use when browsed from mobile devices. From our experience, responsive design theme is the right solution for any site, mainly because even if you do have a mobile app, you always want to give the users who browse from mobile the best user experience.
- While responsive design theme is critical, it is not all you need to do in order to engage your mobile users. Users expect to have an application for their beloved site - and you as a site owner want it as well. When the users use an application, their are within your reach - using Mobile4Social.
- Enable the needed tools you as a site owner already knows - Web services, Rules, Views. Add to them Google Cloud Messaging - and you can reach all of your users with just a simple Rule.
This solution is just the beginning, but it is a promising way to really get in touch with your mobile users and provide them the next step into mobile experience.
While your site might not be "Mobile First", you can empower your mobile experience with few simple actions.
