Hi, can we add the permission to delete our own posts since I do this before my morning coffee and I look like a dork because I make duplicate entries for some reason...?

Unfortunately, no
Having the ability to delete your own posts only works if nobody's made a comment. Once a comment has been made, you can't do it unless you have the dreaded administer nodes permissions, which means that you can then delete anybody's posts. :)
