This weekend several locations around the world have coordinated sprints on various Drupal 8 iniatives and development tasks.
This Saturday Sage Tree and UpKey Interactive in downtown San Diego welcome themers and developers interested in Drupal 8's new theme system to learn about and help work on Twig, it's new templating system. #drupal-twig on irc will also be a resource for those who want to learn more and get involved, both Saturday and Sunday.
