With the Drupal 7 code freeze upon us, it's a good time to start looking ahead at the next release. There are a ton of exciting new things coming in Drupal 7 - amongst them are a whole lot of changes around accessibility. Toronto's own Everett Zufelt has been leading much of this work. Please join us to hear about his work as well as what else we can expect with the upcoming release of Drupal.

Drupal with Ubercart project for Jan 2010

Hi everybody,

I am a new member @ DUG Toronto and a rookie in Drupal (3 days down the road with my first Drupal book).

DIGI Canada Inc. (the company that I work for) is looking to integrate an e-commerce solution for our website where we'll sell Consumables (please see http://www.digicanada.ca/DigiCanada06/consumables/consumables.php ). There will be 14 categories of products, roughly 120 items in total.

Since the lead time is so short we are thinking to outsource and off course I found DUG Toronto as our starting point.
Here are some details abt the project.

QUOTE:

These are the specs that should be targeted:
*Drupal with Ubercart integration *Link from our existing web site *User name and password sign in *Customers to buy consumables like film, labels, t shirt bags - descriptions of products, model # of products etc... *Checkout with shopping cart - taxes, shipping charges etc. *Pay with credit card (secure site) *Order to generate a work order and email to a designated Digi employee - work order to show all relevant details *Site to be able to store a database so that we can track our on-line sales *We are expecting a launching date in January next year. :)
