Comments
I can't make this meeting but am looking for a local developer..
To any Drupal module developers reading this (and I'll email you separately, shevy24@gmail.com):
I have created Drupal sites since 2006, but not modules. I have a site that needs 2-3 custom modules to do the following:
1) All Contracts (Books) have a Datasheet (Basic Page) and bundles of Service Items (separate books added to it). The Data Sheet contains a variable called "Seats". Each of the Service Items has a "multiplier" - so that if the client has 500 seats, the Service Item would cost 500 * its multiplier. I need a module (or php for a computed field) that will do two things:
a. reference "field_seats in node in this book of type Datasheet" and perform the calculation on the service item as "field_item_cost".
b. in the datasheet, embed a view that references all service items within the book the datasheet belongs to, and lists their names and "field_item_cost" fields, providing a sum total.
2) A contract request begins with creation of a Datasheet, which is the top level Book page for that contract. Other books (which are bundles of service items) need to be copied and added to this contract. Module should place a button on the cover page to any service item bundles that says "Add to Contract". Clicking this button creates a radio button list of contracts authored by global user, and by selecting one and pressing "Add", the book should be added to the contract.
Anybody reading this have the chops to do this work? Please contact me by November 9th. Feel free to discuss strategies during the November 7th Meetup!
Thank you,
Bram Moreinis
