Howdy folks,
It's about time for another Denver Drupal Meetup.
Since the theming presentation was so popular in Boulder (18 folks) and at DrupalCON (150 folks in the "big room") I decided to recycle the content from our last theming presentation. Besides, it's only getting better every time that we give it and this should be really solid.
So...here's the vital information:
Subject: Drupal, Q&A, Design, Theming, DrupalCON wrapup
Location: the DeProduction offices (Google map)
On 7th street Between Santa Fe and Kalamath. Some parking available in the alley or across the street (do NOT park directly in front of the building). Go into the Micro Business Development building and DeProduction's offices are on your left. Ask for Studio A.
Audience:Anyone who is interested in Drupal or has used it before. Particularly people who are interested in theming or design should come regardless of your level of experience with Drupal/Theming.
Time: We'll get started at 6:30 PM and there's no real hard end time for the meeting.
The folks at DeProduction have been generous enough to let us use their space. Please be sure not to park directly in front of the building, but in the alley behind it or across the street.
We will probably also discuss the growing local demand for Drupal talent.
Hope to see you there. Consider leaving a comment to let us know if you'll be coming.
Thanks,
Greg

Map Correction?
I think I'll be coming ... but commitment can be so hard.
I believe the Google map link in the post is incorrect, however (it points to a Boulder address). I think this is what we're looking for, but I might be in error, here.
Brian
ah yes
Thanks for the tip - that'll teach me to just copy and paste from past entries... :/

Colorado Independent Media Center at the meeting
The Colorado IMC has been trying to re-energize for a few years now. I've been talking to the few volunteers still involved with Colorado.indymedia.org for about a year about following hte lead of dozens of other IMCs across the globe who have moved over to Drupal.
Some more info about that effort is here:
http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-drupal-dev
and here:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/1177
and here:
https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Devel/ImcDrupalDev
They are new to Drupal, but plan to attend the meeting and hopefully get some guidance in this effort.
Whatever your first issue of concern, media had better be your second, because without change in the media, the chances of progress in your primary area are far less likely. http://denveropenmedia.org
thanks and links
Thanks to the folks who showed up last night (17 of us!) for your great questions and ideas. It was nice to get to meet everyone. And a big thanks to Deproduction/Denver Open Media.
There were a couple of links we discussed that I wanted to record:
Thanks!
