Civicrm at DrupalCamp Toronto

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I'm planning to organize some Civicrm sessions at the upcoming drupalcamp in toronto http://drupalcamptoronto.org/

I'm noticing that the civicanada group (http://groups.drupal.org/civicanada where i'm posting this), which I setup after an ad hoc session on civicrm at the last toronto drupal camp, is pretty defunct. I'm hoping that's due to a lack of leadership on my part rather than a lack of interest in the topic. In any case, if you're interested in helping out, or have some input into the content of such a session, let me know.

Wish I could be there

I really wish I could come to meet you, but I'll unfortunately be on a plane to the UK on the days the Drupal Camp is scheduled.

We're migrating a web site from static pages at http://isss.org over to Drupal and CiviCRM at http://isss.org/world . We really need CiviCRM v1.7 functionality, because we run an annual conference, and need the events function. The server administrator is an American living in France, and is pretty good ... but we haven't been able to get past an error message in installling CiviCRM beta 1.7 . I haven't had time to focus on getting past the errors, but it seems that CiviCRM isn't an easy installation like other Drupal modules.

I'm definitely interested in

I'm definitely interested in this, from a developer's perspective. I have precious little knowledge of the internals of CiviCRM, and have had a hard time working with it. There are two aspects I'd like to see covered: 1) changing templates, and 2) using the API. Maybe you could work in some case studies where you've had to deal with these things.
