A lot of nice little touches

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I am fairly new to Drupal as well, and have experienced my share of problems, as evidenced by my posts in these groups, but now that I've been playing with it for a few days, I really like it!

Some of the little things have been fixed, for example, photos now show captions and photo credits -- thanks irakli :) and the search label finally aligns properly with the box.

The new administrative theme looks very clean, which helps to make the CMS appear smart and professional to users who know little (or care little) about what system they are using. I do agree with the statement made that it does take an extra step or two to get things done without the administrative menu, but that can be added.

The addition of Context is great! There's still lots to learn in using it, but it wasn't hard to tweak the established settings to get the views I wanted to appear in the correct places—what a time saver!

I did have to do some work to get Flowplayer to properly play an flv I uploaded. I assumed that Flowplayer and the swftools.js were in place; they were not. After a little bit of research, I was able to get those pieces in place and the player working.

I'm experiencing a little inconsistency with More Like This Google Video working, sometimes it shows video, sometimes it doesn't for the same story — does this have to do with Input Format?

Otherwise, with this release, I've been able to put together the main components of an upcoming site in a matter of a few days.

Great job Phase://Technology!

Regarding google video, it

Regarding google video, it was connected to the URL previously. What I mean by that is video would appear only for certain content type. But I am not sure if that has been taken care of by using context or not. I will have to explore it.

Thank you, Jo. There will be

Thank you, Jo.

There will be several new releases in the coming months, with hopefully, a lot of new things as we gear up for DrupalCon San Francisco where OpenPublish 2.0 will be unveiled.

By the way, there will be several important OpenPublish-related events on DrupalCon SF, so it's probably a great event to attend for anybody interested in OpenPublish.

How did you get photo captions?

Great! I'm glad to hear things worked out for you.

Could you share how you accomplished this? In particular, I'm interested in knowing how you got separate photo captions and photo credits. I could only find a way to add photo credits.
