The Keene Drupal users group has its first meetup of 2014 at a new location and date! We are pleased to announce that we will be holding our meetings at the Hannah Grimes Center at 25 Roxbury Street, Suite C (see map below). We are also changing the meetings to be on the fourth Wednesday of the month, which puts the first meeting on February 26th!
Anyone who has any interest in Drupal is encouraged to attend, whether you just use it in your day job & want to learn more, have used it for a while and need help with something, or are just interested in finding out about the most popular open source content management system.

Room: The conference room is at the rear of the building, accessible from the large, two-storey parking lot.

Parking: Use the public parking lot off Roxbury Plaza - go North on Main Street, take a right on Roxbury Street, take another right on Roxbury Plaza, drive into the covered parking lot. Walk across the smaller parking lot to the rear entrance of the Hannah Grimes Center.

FYI while the Hannah Grimes Center's listing provides a method of registering for the event, you don't have to sign up there, simply showing up will be enough. That said, please do signup through here if you plan to attend.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, thanks to your decision to find out what this group was all about we hit a new record for the Keene Drupal group - eight people, including five new attendees!
Our discussions rambled from rates for local consultants & development shops, to Drupal's architecture, to Drupal 8 progress, module contributions, content architectures, how Drupal compared to some other CMSes, and on and on.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again next time!

"Even Beth" - an apology
Our February meeting was the most successful meeting we've had in three years, with eight attendees including five first timer's, mostly thanks to the new location and the additional marketing it brought us.
At the end of the meeting we discussed what our plan was for the next few meetings, and I made the statement that I felt everyone could contribute as we could all learn from each other, no matter our experience level. As part of this I mentioned a few people by name, including the Jeremy and Dan who work together at News Bank.
I also mentioned Beth, who has been instrumental member of the team at the Univeristy of Massachusset's Center of Agriculture in Amherst, and an active member of our Keene group for almost two years. Unfortunately, the way I did so was by saying "even Beth".
First off, I'd intended to mention Dawn, because as a someone who doesn't work with Drupal (she works with Joomla primarily) she could offer insights into how another leading CMS works and share some of the things she has learned working with it over the years. Unfortunately while on the spot I couldn't remember her name so I then went to the next person around the table - Beth.
I'd like to sincerely apologize to Beth for mentioning her in this way. As a member of our group for almost two years, and a long time Drupal user at the University of Massachusset's Center for Agriculure, she doesn't deserve to be mentioned in such a disrespectful manner.
I am extremely sorry for what I said, and will try to be more careful with what I say in future.
