Weekly Call #26 - May 8

1. Migrations as configuration entities, Migrations should not be configuration entities (background info on configurable entities), it is still up in the air if Migration entities will changed to not be configuration entities. One downside of using configuration entities is that any changes to migration .yml files are not immediately available (the .yml must be re-synced with the DB using Config Devel or re-installing). One downside of moving away from configuration entities is that we’ll be adding another API for loading/writing configuration files. Lots of discussion on what to do...
2. chx is stepping away from Migrate in core work.
3. Migrate in core UI - Mike Ryan was unavailable for the past week, so no progress.
4. Drush runner --limit functionality has been lost, we need to get it back: https://drupal.org/node/2172351. Benjy and chx discussed strategies for getting it back.
5. DrupalCon Austin migration sprints: one for testing, one for general work. Bugs that testers find should be moved into tests as quickly as possible. We should define a process to dump the source data and move it into a test. Someone needs to organize the testing sprint. What are the steps for organizing it?
6. D6->D8 related issues - issue queue organization. Move D6-related sandbox issues into core issue queue? Organize around meta-issues? Focus on testing-related issues?
7. Work still focused on D6->D8 testing and bug fixes.
