Hello All,
A client what a button to add a link with icon in mobile devices.
I created a block with a picture and run a PHP code but I can`t
make the add to favourite to work on mobile.
How do I do it?
Comments
did you try this
did you call any media-queries/ and add Css and link from there for the Mobile devices.
I'm not sure if I am
I'm not sure if I am understanding correctly, but if your client is asking for a way of allowing users to bookmark their site on their phone then you can use Apple Touch Icons - http://blog.karlribas.com/2012/05/how-to-create-apple-touch-icon-for-you...
The docs for implementing a solution for Android are at https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/android/installtohomescreen
And then to finish of you could use http://cubiq.org/add-to-home-screen to indicate how to add the site to the mobile user's home screen.
At present there doesn't seem to be a way to get it added via anything other than the standard Android/Apple UI which I believe is intentional to stop people spam adding their sites to your home screen when you visit them.
Thanks for the quick answers
Rekaut - I found a module (browscap block - allowing to hide/show blocks on mobile devices) and it working well, checked it with a block I created for the "add to favourite".
Chris - Thanks, I will check the links.
Thanks for the help, guys!
