I need a photo gallery system for my Open Publish (Drupal)
Here's what I am looking for:
A) Ability to bulk upload (between 200 and 500 a week) in two or three galleries per week.
b) ability to connect images to the gallery without manually entering text for each image
c) Some sort of carousel/wheel to go through the photos
What's the best solution?
I've been stuck on this for a week now.
The image_op that comes with Open Publish doesn't play nice with bulk uploaders. The IMAGE from image module allows me to bulk upload, but doesn't want to connect with galleries.
Gallery2 has a ton of potential, but is extremely buggy and keeps changing the colors of my photos.
Anyone have any success with galleries/bulk uploading?

Getting a gallery into Drupal
Getting a gallery into Drupal with those requirements was / is a nightmare for me too. There have been a lot of changes and innovation to galleries in Drupal in the last few months and I pray that one of them turn out to be great. This here looks very promising http://drupal.org/project/gallery_assist. Once modules like this come out of dev http://drupal.org/project/image_fupload_gallery_assist it's really going to be fantastic. I however went with Gallery2.
The color problem. It doesn't matter if your using Gallery2 or Drupal the color change has to do with image handling. Are the GD and ImageMagick plugins for Gallery2 activated? There is a chance that the publisher is giving you the photos which have been processed in a CMYK color space in which case when they are processed in one of the PHP image handling libraries they are getting color cast. Open one of the images that has a color problem after it was upload to Galllery2 in it's original state in PhotoShop and look under Image -> Mode to make sure that it's in a RGB color mode. Also, are you having problems with SEF URLs? I can help you through that if it's an issue.
