User group meeting

For the November 12th meeting of the San Diego Drupal user group, Doug Rowe from Sagetree will present Semantic web, SEO, RDFa, Turtle, JSON-LD... Oh my! Making sense of structured data.

We'll survey the changing world of structured data formats and explore current strategies for SEO and data exchange in Drupal.

After that, we'll do some lightning talks. Ask a question, or tell us about something you've found recently and kick off a spirited discussion. I will have a quick demo of enhancements to the editing experience in the Drupal backend: Linkit, Insert, Field Collections and Entity Reference, File (Field) Paths, Hires Images and Image Style Quality modules, the Chosen library, Vertical tabs, and more.

Finally, we will head down the street to the Prado for some drinks.

Newcomers are always welcome, bring any of your friends that might be interested in learning about Drupal. We hope to see you on Wednesday at the Balboa Park Hall of Champions.

We just added Doug Rowe as our main presenter at the Nov SDDUG meeting with a courageous dive into structured data. Should be very interesting!

Here is the link from my talk last nite to Lin's post. Read the comments for some more interesting insight into the world of structured data in Drupal. Note: The final decision from Angie was that RDFa was left in D8 core.
