Hello Bangalore,
We Wish everyone a very happy new year. At Drupal Bangalore, we had a good 2014 with couple of Code sprints, couple of trainings, 6-7 meetups and a Minicamp. We are excited and expecting a great 2015 with more community events, contributions and participation.
As part of the action items discussed on 30th Dec meeting, we had a discussion on forming a Organizing/Core committee for Drupal Bangalore and came up will the following criteria and conclusions.
- Goal: strengthen bangalore drupal community, increase participation and thus contributions back to Drupal and community.
- Towards attaining this goal, we intend starting an Organizing team that will represent and be accountable for the community and help in decision making on behalf of the community.
- Currently the Organizing committee comprises of: Chakrapani, Hussain, Gokul and Jaya. But all members are requested to put forth names they feel can be part of the committee. It is preferable that the proposed person have done something for Drupal Bangalore community and has been present at at-least couple of events organized by the community in last 6 months. [Speaking at Events, mentoring in Code Sprints, Organizing or helping organize events, attending meetings] / Attended at-least 5 Drupal Bangalore Events in the previous year / Helped organize or Organized local Drupal events in Bangalore.
- We request for and look forward to contributions from ALL members to asssist this organizing Committee to attain above mentioned goal.
- A list of contributors will also be maintained by the committee, comprising of companies and organizations interested in cultivating the community in Bangalore. Do get in touch with us here regarding adding your name/organization's name to this list with approriate links of your contributions to the Bangalore community. Please do so before 8th Jan 2015.
Please note that this committee is formed to make better decisions and be accountable for the Drupal Bangalore Community. This is not a prerequisite for anybody to contribute towards community.
We welcome everyone to actively paticipate in all the activities of Dupal Bangalore Community. If you are interested in helping in any way, please contact any of the above mentioned members.

Since we have not heard from anyone past the deadline, we assume nobody has anything to add (or remove) here. Let's move this along and freeze this until we need it again.
To clarify again, this group is responsible for keeping the momentum and ensure we meet our goals. This means that we still need each and every one of you to come up and help us make Drupal Bangalore an awesome community!

Briefly, I will arrive in Bangalore approximately June 12 from the US via Sri Lanka where I will unwind for 7-10 days.
Although I have been working with computers for 25 years, my actual area of expertise would be in the development of hard-copy educational materials and edugames for gifted and motivated students.
I am interested in any direction you might be able to provide, information centers, people to contact, etc., for Drupal website development and specifically interactive educational websites with Drupal.
Please understand that I have lived in and worked in Asia most of my adult life, speak a number of Asian languages and am therefore not new to the region, though I must admit I am new to Bangalore.

I am not sure what help I can provide immediately but meetups are a great place for a discussion like this. Unfortunately, I don't see a meetup scheduled in the time frame you have mentioned.
