I 'm maintaining the largest bicycle activist site in Greece for 10 years, we are running in Drupal all this years.
We are now trying to implement an electronic collaboration platform so we can transform from a face to face assembly to an electronic assembly.
The Problem:
Drupal has so many tools to collaborate, make the project management etc.
But it is very poor in decision making tools...
Voting API, Rate, Fivestar is the more advanced you can go.
It would be nice if there where more advanced decision tools. I quite like the http://liquidfeedback.org/ workflow.
In short the workflow is initiative proposal, suggestions for change (only for supporters), when the support reaches a quorum then it goes to discussion mode, where again others can propose changes and lastly it goes to voting.
Although i can implement a lot of it (not all) with existing modules and structures, it would be nice to have a easier and better way.
I can NOT implement all because I would prefer a better voting system than simple majority. LiquidFeedback uses Condorcet Winners with some advanced tie-braking mechanisms.
There used to be the Decisions module (which implemented a lot of the functionality i want) but its "unsupported due to a security issue the maintainer didn’t fix".
Is there a module or a way to use Rules i haven't found or thought of.
M' I the only one feeling this omission? Shouldn't there be a better way to make decisions inside Drupal?
P.S.:The solution to use LiquidFeedback is not an option because i have some different needs i can not implement in the software (it is open Source, I m not a programmer.)
