voting

Hello,
I 'm maintaining the largest bicycle activist site in Greece for 10 years, we are running in Drupal all this years.
We are now trying to implement an electronic collaboration platform so we can transform from a face to face assembly to an electronic assembly.

The Problem:
Drupal has so many tools to collaborate, make the project management etc.
But it is very poor in decision making tools...
Voting API, Rate, Fivestar is the more advanced you can go.

Raty uses the jQuery Raty library: http://wbotelhos.com/raty to enable a 'no-hassle' field input widget &/or output formatter for any numeric-storage field. It also provides a new Views filter for any numeric field.

Unlike Rate & Fivestar (which are awesome modules!), there is no major voting backend to Raty. However, you can still simulate this behavior to a degree since you can use Raty as the input widget for any numeric field on an entity.

I want to make external voting api for a drupal 7 based site to allow external voting on nodes like Digg and other social networks. I want to know your ideas about modules that enable it. I searched a lot through all guides about making drupal as a social network but i couldn't find anything about it. Does anyone know a module or a simple way to do that?

One thing that's been on my mind ever since the inception of the Design Initiative is some form of reputation system for design.drupal.org. If we can make this fly I'd be hugely in favor of it, and to that end I've put together a basic model of what this could look like (including an implementation), I'll get to that shortly, first I want to look briefly at what exists in Drupal ecosystem already - well, at least what I know of.

I'm not deeply versed in the Drupal ecology, so please excuse if this is misdirected! My interest in the Guilds movement (and Voting Systems) is for something with wider applicability, namely a generic reputation system for community sites. I would like an implementation that could handle varied protocol for awarding 'merit' to users based on feedback on their contributions.

what is the best way to approach this

So I have been trying to figure out a way to give users the ability to vote a certain number of times per week, vote a certain number of times per node and such all based on rank.
I.E.
Privates can vote 3 times per week, and vote once on each node.
Sergeants can vote 9 times per week, and apply two votes per node etc...
If possible it would be nice to have the usable votes left accountable, such as the private being able to bank up 9 votes adn the sergeant banking up 12 votes etc..
I found this topic where wordfallz thinks rules can be used to accomplish this. Question is how?

I have a project listed on Freelancer today to develop a "Share Your Ideas" module which might be of interest to people here as well (or you might even be able to tell me if something similar already exists). It's based on something I saw at "Giveaway of the Day" where they use it to capture feedback on improvements from people who download free software.

What I want to do is:

• capture suggestions from site users about improvements
• have site users vote on these suggestions
• rank suggestions by the number of user votes

I've been searching around the modules relating to voting and I can't seem to find one that fits my requirements.
Basically, I would like something that allows voting on nodes based on different aspect areas.
For example, if we have a node that's a car, the car can be rated from 1 to 10 on Speed, from 1 to 5 on Handling. The admin could create as many categories or aspects along with a rating velocity. When a participating node is displayed, a rating widget would be displayed with the node.
I'd like to base this module off Voting API.
Any thoughts or ideas? Any interest?

I am looking for any Drupal community site that has a multi-question rating system. Actually, I’m looking for Contractors who have built Drupal communities with multi-question rating systems.

We want to build a Drupal community where the members rate or evaluate services. Not a simple voting plugin where we can only ask one question, but a series of questions. We need to be able to ask several questions and our members will be able to give a numerical value (1-10) AND have the option to comment on each question.
