Why not Symfony For Drupal-heads?

Torenware's picture

I'll be in Santa Cruz for the meeting (long story that), and can do a quick talk about A Beginner's Impression of Symfony, since that's what I've been up to the last couple of weeks.

Any interest?

My wife seems to be having an abdominal something or other and needs me. I am sorry for the late notice!

Sorry that your wife is not

Sorry that your wife is not well!
does this mean drupal group is canceled? Or moved? Or simply a different gatekeeper, as it were?

Sorry to hear that

Hope she feels better.

In the meantime, what's the play? I'd guess that the Launch Brigade bunch will still be there a 7PM. Is asking them to handle this cool?

I'm already in Santa Cruz (although in Java Junction out on Seabright), but if needed, I could probably get myself into the building before 5.

I don't have anyone to fill

I don't have anyone to fill in tonight unless someone can come by 5pm to get a key card...

On me way

I can be over in about 15 minutes. Should do the trick.

Chris Miller of Launch Brigade can get me set up for letting people in.

Hopefully things will quickly go well for Darren & Family.

Well wishes!

Darren - Hope everything is ok. Let me know if you need help with anything.

Chris - Thanks for helping out.

Rob - Symfony sounds good.

See y'all soon

I've been trained in the Ways of the Door Opener. Hopefully I'll remember that for the meeting :-)

Thanks for the presentation

Thanks for the presentation and for posting slides, Rob. That was very interesting and I learned a lot.

Here's the PHP function I was trying to remember yesterday when we were discussing reflection: http://php.net/manual/en/function.token-get-all.php .

Cheers,
Jeff

Modern PHP book

loopduplicate's picture

Here's a book that I mentioned in a conversation after the meetup yesterday. I really enjoyed reading it so I thought I'd post it here. Basically I was thinking, you can use the ideas in this book and couple them with the things that we learned about Symfony to make stuff and things :)
