Month droplist resets to January everytime nodes are edited

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I believe this issue has been discussed before but I searched for it here on g.d.o and couldn't find it. Sorry.

As many of us know, after creating an event and then attempting to edit it, the month defaults to January. Over on drupal.org under Month and minute droplists reset everytime nodes are edited, it states that the bug has been fixed. However, the problem persists on g.d.o.

Did the bug for the month defaulting back to January in fact get fixed? (I don't know about the minute droplist bug because I generally use 00 for my minute start time.)

Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance,
Walt

Submit an issue against event module (or search the event module queue). This is a well known event module bug, which should be fixed.

Issue already exists

My post above asks "why" the issue was marked as "closed" over on d.o. The link I provided leads to the issue submitted previously, back in March in fact, against this known issue.

A minute ago, I went ahead and changed its status from "closed" to "active". Feel free to add any verbiage and/or to change its status. Help squash this pesky bug. :)

Per killes on July 17, 2007 as posted here:

g.d.o uses an outdated copy of event 5.1. This is long fixed.

So, can someone with the proper permissions go ahead and install the latest stable event.module that includes the fix? Thanks in advance!

Hey Moshe,

Just checking on this item. :) What's the status?

P.S. Your Barcelona offer is very kind, but alas I won't be attending...and I have no kids!
