Mollom may be a problem for me - for free use that is?

The site I am working is a migration from existing busy site.

Cannot afford to use the Mollom, too expensive for the number of daily postings and comments.

If I remove mollom will I have issues that cross over into other areas?

Can I just use the captha or e-captha for my purposes.

The site will not get 100 postings per day, but it will generate several hundred comments daily.

Replacing Mollom with ReCaptcha or Captcha should not be a problem.

Thanks - I was looking through the places mollom was showing in the admin,etc. and thought it best to ask, before I greased the wheels.
