I am coming to the end of this project based on OP 1.7. I am still a noob when it comes to Drupal and web development, but have learned a lot. And, I have to say that Open Publish (and this group) has been indispensable in helping me get to where I'm at. Thank you Phase II Technology and this community!
I still have some things to fix, but I would like to open the site to this group and receive your feedback. Especially, if you can help me fix things you see not working right : ). I am particularly having issues with getting my primary menu (using Nice Menus) working right between browsers (especially IE 7, 8 and Chrome).
The beta site is at http://beta01.scvbj.com
Thank you very much.

I'm envious of the design of your frontpage. The site looks very good with FF. But it shows something different on Chrome. Here they are (so far)
Another thing is the author pages are not accessible. Probably the corresponding nodes are not published. I guess you did this intentionally.
I will post more if I find.

Yeah, I'm having a difficult time setting the base font. I've tried a number of things. Thanks for bringing that to my attention from Chrome.

My first impression is that the site is really nice. Have you tried Superfish menus? http://drupal.org/project/superfish

Thank you for the suggestion.
Thank you for the suggestion. I'm trying it now : ). It seems to work a lot nicer than Nice Menus, though I am still having CSS issues between browsers : (
Have you used Superfish?
Hello Adamsohn.
By chance have you used Superfish? I definitely like the way it works over nicemenus, but I am still having issues with it in IE 7 where the drop down menus fall behind page items (breadcrumb, sideshows, etc...). And since, there is a large user base for IE 7, I'm stuck.
I was wondering if you have used it and possibly have a fix for this issue.
Thanks.
I'm sorry. I'm at a loss here
I'm sorry. I'm at a loss here because all of a sudden I have been having problems with superfish too. If you are looking for a two level menu system that goes across the top of the page try Dynamic Persistent Menus. I would like to know if Nice Menus can be displayed that way too? If you're having problems with Flash hiding DHTML elements on the page read this article http://www.communitymx.com/content/article.cfm?cid=E5141 . Flash should have it's wmode set to Opaque. Z-index is set by setting the CSS position of the element first to relative or absolute.
