Are the calais tags needed on OP site by not English?

Apture should definitely still be useful. So is gmap etc.

OpenCalais does not support Ukrainian, yet.

Acquia integration is not for tagging. It's for Acquia hosting support (if you host with Acquia) and Acquia Solr Search support (if you use their search-as-service offering, even when hosting outside their servers).

Solr search is orders of magnitude more powerful than core search, but it is often challenging to set-up, especially since it requires skills outside LAMP stack (Solr is a Java server). Many OpenPublish users don't want to go through the headache of setting up Solr independently and would rather buy the service from Acquia, that's why we pre-bundle it with OpenPublish. If you want an easy, powerful solution, all you need to do is enter an Acquia Search Key and your site will switch to working with Solr search.
