Great stuff at the Drupalcon here in San Fransisco. I went to the Drupal for Libraries session today. I know people in J.A. will find it interesting for the planned drupal camp so look out for the video as soon as it is posted here: http://dc2009.drupalcon.org/sessions

Also some great talks by Tim O'Reilly as well as the CIO of the Whitehouse, and other members of the Executive Office of the President who highlight the important role open source currently plays in the government and exciting frontiers for the future. It is excellent news that projects like whitehouse.gov and nysenate.gov are releasing code(modules) back to the community: http://www.whitehouse.gov/tech
The future looks great with Drupal distributions on the way. I'm sure we will eventually have a suite of modules and configurations that are useful for Libraries, and who knows, maybe also something geared exclusively for government bodies.

Wow I never knew you were going Varun, it must be great - wish I was there. I had to be satisfied with watching the live streams.
That should be great news for mscale, Judging from the streams I have watched so far, Drupal is definitely going to make waves in practically every sphere.
Great. I spoke with my
Great.
I spoke with my Department and Faculty regarding the venue and date for the Session in May. It will definitely have to be after UWI Exams. That would be mid May.
I will post a range of dates and ask for the date that is most convenient for those who wish to present/be present.
I will also need to know the presenters needs in term of audio-visual and Internet connection requirements so that I can book the appropriate room.
I just need this information and I will advertise to the librarians to get them to come. However since we are looking at a night or evening type of event - we may only get those librarians and other library personnel who live in the corporate area.
Did not see video for library session
Hi Varun,
I checked the listing of videos, but did not see the session on "Shhh..This is a Drupal (powered) Library".
Were there any handouts or presentation links?
