DrupalCon Copenhagen Review

DrupalCon in Copenhagen is over and here is a first resume.

The Copenhagen team has done a great work and Drupal Bulgaria's co-founder Ivo Radulovski is glad to have been part of the conference.

Ivo Radulovski attended at the meeting between the European Associations and community leaders from +20 countries, representing the Drupal Bulgaria Foundation together with Christian Ziegler, representing Drupal Austria and here are our ideas for Europe:

* Cooperation between European Associations
* European Camps divided into different topics

The topics and next events are:

Who is going to Copenhagen?

Have any of you already made plans to go to Copenhagen 2010 Drupalcon? Found a good apartment or hotel for lodging? Want to volunteer to organize the Drupalganger meeting point during the con?
I don't know if I'm going yet but we'll be deciding soon.

DrupalCon SF 2010 videos online

Videos from Drupalcon

Drupalcon was fantastic! Not only did I learn more about topics I knew about, I also learned about topics I never knew existed, and now know what more to learn. Cool. The con was 3000 strong -- hordes of beginners, themers and coders. For this con I was only comfortable attending sessions and meeting a person here or there -- but who knows, maybe at my next con I'll know enough to join the impromptu Drupal discussions that sprouted up all over.

Many of the session videos are up at archive.org. Search for drupalcon 2010.

WNY Drupallers at Drupalcon?

Anybody from WNY attending drupalcon? If so, drop me a line (@fending on twitter or my contact form here) and we can informally meetup!

Everybody else: I have my session schedule assembled and dbl-booked several times, but if there are sessions you're particularly interested in hearing about before they're posted online http://sf2010.drupal.org/conference/schedule, let me know and I can try to attend & give you a redux. And if there's anybody you'd like me to track down in person for one reason or another to hug or shake violently, I'm happy to oblige. :)

Docs events at Drupalcon

With Drupalcon coming up soon, (and thanks to the prompting of rfay on IRC) I wanted to start a thread to share some thoughts about what might be happening from a docs perspective.

The Drupalcon site is a little confusing because they talk about doc sprints on both Sunday and Thursday, (http://sf2010.drupal.org/conference/drupal-sprints) but then on the same page it just shows one sprint on Thursday. So my first question, is there actually a docs sprint on Sunday? I'll be around on Sunday myself, so I'd be happy to participate if there's something happening.

DrupalCon Session Proposals

DrupalCon San Francisco 2010 is just around the corner and Raised Eyebrow hopes to "own the podium", sorry I couldn't resist. Chris and I have been to 2 Drupalcon's so far in our Drupal lifetime, and have decided it is time to give something back. We've come up with 2 Session Proposals that are overviews about how we used Drupal to create two killer applications for managing a small Web Business. We'd love to get some folks from Vancouver in there showing their stuff. It seems like tough competition with shops like Dev.
