How to Avoid Duplicate Content

I'm working on my front page, displaying a nodequeue of five hand-picked stories to list under the featured story. I also have a view listing 10 recent articles. Often one of my hand-picked stories in the nodequeue also appears in the recent_stories view. Is there a way to prevent this duplication?

  1. Set distinct on.
  2. Relate the nodequeues.
  3. Filter the qeue for "no"

Result: My "Latest Headlines" view does not show articles already in my featured_node queue nor in my featured_articles queue.

I think I'm getting the hang of this.
