Well, here we go again.
The theme has turned into a white page again.
What is wrong with OP that this keeps doing this? As I've mentioned before, I've never had any problems of this kind with the regular Drupal, or other programs. Only OP.
Do we have a potential bug here that nobody in development wants to look at? Or, .....
Seems to happen about every other day now.
No changes have been made to the theme, or any part of the program that I can think of to cause this.
Not good for production.

Now the theme is back!!!
I've just tried something that is "disturbing", but the theme is back.
I went into performance and turned OFF the css that so many have been advocating using to make ie work right.
Well, with the css disabled, now the theme is back.
Again, is this a bug in the program?
I don't have enough experience to say so, but if not, why does this keep happening?
Anyway, for now, it's back to normal with the css enhancement thingy disabled.

Another "problem"?
I just looked at one of the articles on the site, and it says the article is only available to premium customers.
That is not supposed to happen.
In looking at the modules it appears one CANNOT disable the premium module, that is supposed to be overridden by the non-premium? module.
Why is that?

Premium content
As to learning to set premium content? I don't want any of the content on the site to be charged for. And, I don't like, after setting premium content NOT to "work", it does anyway. That is the problem. It should shut off totally when selected in the module.
Memory issues?
I wonder what you mean by 'theme' turning white.
But anyway, white screens of death are pretty well documented for OP.
Most people encounter them during the install but some encouter it during site use.
In most cases, it turns out to be issues with the type of hosting and the resources you have available.
Are you on shared hosting?
How much memory do you have at your disposal?
As stattler says, configure the premium module. It will be a lot more beneficial to you if you learn to configure correctly instead of disabling.
As for your disabling css compression. I am curious, have you looked at your site in Internet Explorer when css compression is disabled. How does it look?

Turning white
What I mean is, the theme loses its formatting totally, turns to a white screen with just text on it, but NOT as formatted.
I have plenty of memory, and can increase it at personal whim. I do not think this is part of the problem, especially since it zoomed into install without having to change any timeouts whatsoever.
The premium module is not necessary for the site. And, it doesn't follow instructions when changed in the module.
I have not used IE to look at the site since it is not on my computer. Why should I turn compression on for IE and lose Firefox, Safari, and others? The OP program itself should be corrected to handle this, since virtually all other programs do so.
I think that some of these things, if not many, will be corrected in OP 2.1 and further. At least I hope so.
Again, I look at these things as a matter of PRODUCTION capability, not constant use of time fixing problems to the detriment of production.
Other than the big boys now using OP, with a team of internet upkeepers in addition to production staff, who are the OP users at the moment not spending time trying to correct things, or figuring out what to do with the program? Are they into full production, or into more pre-production time usage?
OP is a great program. That's why I want to use it and am trying to use it. But somewhere along the line production has to take over or it becomes a time waster. IF someone wants to play with html, css, code tweaking, etc. etc. etc. then that's different.

If you will never charge for content, then disable the premium module. Then, also uninstall it to purge your database of any content it may have.
Loss of formating.
I can assure you, I am running a working install of OP 2.0.
The issues I am having now are because I have decided to subtheme the OP theme. These are just css issues I'm having (text size etc).
Other than that, everything is working fine and I AM on shared hosting.
Meaning you should be zipping along without any issues.
Since your install happens fast, I would suggest you download a fresh copy and reinstall. Something may have gone wrong with the package you downloaded (It does).
Most of us that are having issues are having them because we have decided to theme or extend the standard OP install or are trying to do something different or also trying to use a different theme.
Its a bother, but if you have no content (or lots), redowload and install.
It should not behave the way it is doing if you have enough resources which obviously you do.
Firefox, Safari, chrome should not be having issues dropping the css at all (wether compressed or not).
But, Internet Explorer will. A huge amount of people use Internet Explorer, hence, you will have to compress the CSS. Why? It is not the fault of OP. Internet explorer can only handle a certain number of css files.OP has more. Hence the need for compression.
The only caveat is you should only compress if you do not intend to do any css theming before production. Otherwise, work in Firefox and compress when done for the benefit of explorer.
I feel you. I had to carry out serious gymnastics to install and run OP on a shared server.

I just used IE on my other computer to see the site. It looked fine. I used IE7.
And, that with the css compression disabled.

Go into contexts and disable the article context. See what that does:

Just an update
Now the "create content" and the little "wrench" won't work right.
Probably just a grimlin, can't be a bug or host or author of course.
