Dynamic Content

I'm not up on web building lingo, but I am looking for some sort of module/slideshow dynamic content block that can be used for OP.
I'd like to be on the front page, which is tricky because of the OP three-column layout
Is anyone using anything like this? Any tips on a direction?

The default slideshow content

The default slideshow content type was supposed to do that but for some reason its not working in my installation of OP. I tried but failed.

I'm using views_slideshow.
Also using it for creating content that rotates (like default articles, but rotating)

In case you use views_slideshow you can configure it to be a certain imagecache preset

Views carousel has potential, but the inability to customize size with ease makes it next to useless..
