Can someone please show me what I need to look for to get anonymous users the ability to see Author Pages in OP 1.7.1? I didn't realize till now that anonymous users were not able to see these pages. They get a "You are not authorized to access this page."
I've been looking up and down the permissions page for the permission that would allow this, but can't seem to find it.

Ok, I found what was wrong.
Ok, I found what was wrong. This is really dumb, but I'm posting this just in case someone else makes this mistake and starts pulling their hair out.
We (the administrator and editors) could see the Author profile when we clicked on the Author links because we are allowed to see unpublished content, but nobody else could, obviously!
My problem wasn't a permissions issue, but that I had left the Author content unpublished, therefore, nobody could see it. Duh!
DOH~!
This is a GREAT "Solution" and one that I have used before myself ( after feeling the DOH~! ). Nice post. :-)
