Why does my installation of OpenPublish end with a blank page?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Trying to install OpenPublish locally with MAMP (on Mac OS 10.6.2) ends with a blank page.
Is this installation different from an ordinary installation of Drupal?
Any suggestions what could go wrong?
Any detailed OpenPublish-tutorials to check out?
Any help is appreciated, I am new at Drupal.

Maximum execution time is very important in the php.ini ... bump it up as much as you need ...
I also added increased maximium times for everything in php.ini and sites/all/default/settings.php out of frustration and it finally seemed to work.

It helped .. a bit.

Thanks for suggestions. I tried increasing execution time in php.ini and it took med further, but still resulted in lots of error messages. I will try again, increasing ALL maximum times...
Does anyone know of any education, workshops etc which focuses on OpenPublish?
