Video Hosting - GodTube, YouTube, & Others?

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

EDIT 2:

While I await good counsel here re. the best way to manage the upload and download of video in Drupal I think that I can hard-code HTML to link to videos posted on GodTube the same as we handle a news article:

EDIT 1:

Looks as though my answer is here:
http://drupal.org/project/video_filter

These are the steps I plan to follow (first on my Testing site):

  1. Download compressed video_filter module file to my laptop.

  2. Upload compressed video_filter module file to a my-downloads folder on our Drupal server.

  3. Uncompress video_filter module

  4. Extract the code to our /test.firstbaptistchurchsh.com/public_html/modules folder.

  5. Enable the video_filter module as Administrator for our Drupal site.

Does that all sound correct?

We are back into the development of our new church site.

I have created a "test" area on our server so I can break things there!

Folks are pressing for some video so even in the primitive form currently in place I would like some wise counsel as to the best way to get some video up on one of our pages.

EDIT: Just returned home from our New Years Eve Praise & Worship Concert ... wow! The last song was Leonard Skynard's "Freebird" with lyrics reclaimed for God. We have four guitarists, one of them is in his late-40's and has a rock band background, another is 20 and is an amazing guitarist - the two of them knocked-out the long guitar riff in Freebird and I have it on video! Gotta get that and a bunch of other video clips up for folks to see.

My preference is to use the Christian video host GodTube but I will use YouTube or another host if that is the best solution for the moment.

How would y'all counsel me to walk through adding my first video link, please?

Thanks! doc
