I have a menu item in the Primary Navigation Menu that I want to remove, however the item does not show up in the list of Primary Links in the menu section, or anywhere else for that matter. So I can not delete it.
I had created a new view with the same menu name which showed up and did what it was supposed to do. The other item still shows up but when you click on it it sends you to a page not found.
Any idea on how to rid the unwanted menu item? (I cleared the cache but it is still there)
Any help on how to get rid this is much appreciated. Thank you.

I had the same problem with some of my menus, and I was not able to delete them as they were not listed in the Primary Menu list. What I understood is I created those menu items in previous version of OP but they (somehow) got lost in the process of upgrading to the latest version.
Similar to your fix, I just created the relevant views and then they showed up in the Menu list. Then I was able to hide/delete/modify them.
I guess this post is really important for those who will be having the exact same issue. Thanks for bringing this up.

Thanks for your help but this
Thanks for your help but this is a fresh install. I have no idea why this would happen. I tried what you suggested anyway and a new menu item appeared, then I deleted it and it's gone, however the problem item still remains.
Do you know where this item might exist in a file and I can delete it from there? Is that even possible?
If you have problem with a
If you have problem with a fresh install that is strange. Because OP has evolved quite a few versions now and I wont expect things like this in a fresh install. Could you post few screenshots please?

I have the same issue, please help
I have a menu item in Main menu that I want to remove, the item doesn't show up in the Main menu in the menu section. I did database table menu link check, I didn't find this menu item too. So I cannot delete it.
I created a new menu item with the same menu name, at this time, the same menu name display two times, then deleted it, only one is gone. It will be highly appreciated if someone can help me.
Did you ever resolve this problem?

Nav Link Needing to delete
I have a menu nav link that is not in the list for that menu on the backend. So I am unable to delete it. The site is immanuelhouse.org The link was a Press Release that I had named Board Meeting on Saturday. I deleted the Press Release thinking that would resolve my problem. Had my hosting company do a back up from the day before. Cleared my cache. Nothing worked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I went onto the server thinking maybe I could find a file or something to delete it but didn't find anything.
Thanks in advance.

Same Issue
I have a view with four displays, and created menus for two of them. I then decided I didn't want the menus, so I switched to "No Menu".
I still have those two menus in my menu structure - in the admin menu, actually, but they don't appear in the menu admin, so I can't delete them.
I have cleared the views cache, cleared the menu cache, cleared the administration menu cache... even cleared ALL caches.
Would really like a solution for this if anyone has any suggestions.
