User group meeting
It's time for the next Utah Drupal meetup!
Dharmatech will be picking up pizza so come hungry and prepared to learn and share Drupal knowledge and ideas.
Assuming it's ok with j_ten_men, let's have it again at their offices at 200 S Main St (Walker Center).
If you'd like to share something please add a comment. Short 5-10 minute presentations about recent things you've learned is ideal.
See you then!

Looking forward to it! Thanks
Looking forward to it! Thanks for organizing this...finals week this week so I haven't had much free time.

That works for me. I'll plan
That works for me. I'll plan on posting signs outside and on the elevator as usual unless they've changed how they want us to get you in the building.
Topic idea: site monitoring w/munin
http://munin-monitoring.org/
We'll present on what it is, how we use it, advanced features, etc. Any interest?
I'd be interested in hearing
I'd be interested in hearing more about Munin. I use it for monitoring as well but just what comes out-of-the box. I'd definitely like to hear about more advanced usages for the technology.

Topic Idea: writing install profiles
I've got a fair bit of experience now writing an install profile maintaining Eduglu I could talk about first, why you'd want to maintain an install profile and second, briefly how to go about doing that.

sounds good
We explored install profiles w/D5 but ran into limitations... would be great to see something recent. If time permits, perhaps we could talk in more detail about profiles, features module, etc.
I would be interested in
I would be interested in hearing more about install profiles since I've procrastinated playing around with it.
Not sure if many people are
Not sure if many people are using Drush but I could show how we are using it on a multisite setup, specifically how we use it for our upgrades (we have about 10-15 sites currently).
I do think it would be cool to use Aegir (I know we saw some about it last time), but we haven't gotten there yet, and Drush is actually pretty easy and cool to use.
Would be good to also show
Would be good to also show drush integration w/other modules if you have examples.
New
Hi, I'm new, so would like to know the time of the event, and also the best parking spot and info on how to access the building.
I am also working on a site that uses domain access module, so if there is any expertise in that area, I'm interested in that topic. It looks however there are plenty of other good topics already on the list, so maybe next time.

The location of the meeting
The location of the meeting place is 200 S Main St (Walker Center) right downtown. You enter from the West Side of the building, and I will post some signs up as the time gets closer.
Parking is always the biggest issue with meeting downtown. Typically what people do is park in the Carls Jr. that is located just to the East on 200 S. State Street and they they buy a drink or something from there. There is also payed parking right next to Carls Jr as well if you want.
Another option is TRAX. If you get off at the Galivan Plaza stop, it's just a block to the North from there.
Pricing Practices for Free-Lance work?
Hi, I'm new into the drupal arena and will be attending the meetup. I think it would be cool to have a discussion on pricing practices for free-lance work. I'd love to hear other peeps views on pricing drupal projects for their clients.
Lullabot is attending
I'm in SLC at the moment and would love to stop by. If folks are interested, I can do a case study about how we scaled The Grammy's site last year. I can talk about the performance and scalability layers: pressflow, varnish, memcache, akamai and so on.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Awesome! This meet-up will be epic!
Matt, you and I met up in Seattle a few years back at a Lullabot training...and I had you sign my book. You probably won't remember me though based on the people that you guys meet every day. Looking forward to the meet-up even more now!

I also vote yes on this!

I am going to post the
I am going to post the location information again for everyone here.
The location of the meeting place is 200 S Main St (Walker Center) right downtown. You enter from the West Side of the building. Normally, you enter the building through the revolving doors, but since those will be closed, you will need to enter in through the doors to the North about 10-15 feet from the revolving doors (there will be signs posted as well). The place you enter into is undergoing construction, but walk in to the elevator and you will see the sign on how to use the elevator. If you have any issues, please don't hesitate to call: 801-448-6632.

'Twas a great meet-up
'Twas a great meet-up tonight! Thanks to everyone for showing up!
Thanks to 'dharmatech' folks for providing the pizza and drinks!
And a special thanks to Matt Westgate for attending out meet-up and enlightening us on all things performance and scalability!
Next meet-up will most likely be the 12th of October. If the 12th doesn't work then we can do the 19th. That's tentative plan!
Thanks again, everyone!

Thanks for the meeting space j_ten_man.
