New Home Page

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I created a test homepage for discussion. I find it really hard to keep track of what's going on when the groups homepage is just a list of nodes. You can test out the new home page at http://groups.drupal.org/html5/home-test . I personally don't think is separated out with the right context but for now is just listing Discussions and Wiki pages. We'll probably want to set up some taxonomy terms to separate them out.

Any thoughts?

The page is publish so anyone can see it, not just the group admins.

The two column version is making it easier to spot whats going on. Further grouping posts into sections seems like another improvement.

This is a better homepage than the old one. But, how can you organize the sections with a taxonomy? What terms do you want to use?
