Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just created a new "Content Type" on OpenPublish and I made sure that users had the option to create "Comments" related to that node. In order to do this I made sure this content type had comments enabled and when posting the node under "Comments Settings" I made sure people could read and write comments. Permissions was also checked and anyone can post comments. The problem is that on this new content type, comments do not show up! Does anyone knows what is necessary for me to do in order to enable this feature on a new content type in OpenPublish?
Ps. Comments work fine on the standard "Article" Content Type that comes with OpenPublish.

if you created a test node of this content type before enabling comments on the content type, then you must enable comments on that first one you created. This may not be your problem, but I did this once and spent hours debugging and banging my head against the wall. it turned out to be something so simple.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I thought about what you posted and I created a brand new node after all settings on the "content type", "node" and "permissions" were set accordingly. I even went back to edit the post twice to make sure comments were enabled (and they were). Although your observation is well made, I'm afraid this is not the problem. I suspect the comments module is being used only on the content types that come by default with the OpenPublish distribution. I think that if I'm to use comments on other content types I will have to make some kind of tweak on the code somewhere.
If anyone knows the solution or has been through this before, please let me know.

I just checked on my dev server and it works fine by default.
If you see the entire node, it should be fine...
Otherwise you can check logs

Hi Resveld,
I did try the logs but nothing is showing up. I replicated the issue on this short screencast I made. If you have time please take a look at it. I might be missing something stupid but until then it has become impossible to have comments on new "Content Types" created in OpenPublish.

Not only the comments are not showing on a new content type, but also the related terms. It's a really big issue.
