the idea is...
There is much discussion in this group about being able to measure drupal consulting, how to standardize, benchmark, measure it. The above poll is designed to see how feasible it is to share information.
For sake of argument, a hypothetical way this might work: I propose a site to a client, and then I strip all sensitive info out of my proposal and I submit it along with information about whether the quote was successful and then later down the track I report on the outcome.
Note: I am aware that there are anti-collusion laws, or something, in the US so just tick option two if you think this effects you. :-)
thanks!
Cheers to all who have left their vote. It is good to see general support for this concept which is a pretty important component of the grand visions we have.
I have a proposal ready to de-identify and submit as soon as there is the right infrastructure. I plan to track hours quite closely and follow-up afterwards with a customer review. It would be great to have a node that has certain sections that can be edited and added to over time... only pondering :-)
looking forward to see what
looking forward to see what you have, w.r.t. infrastructure are you talking about the place to post those client proposals?
are you talking about the
Yes, that is what I mean. Infrastructure (ie. a website) so that people can add their own case-studies, add meta-data and share the information.
But by the sounds of it, there is higher level planning to be done first...
well, I think we can do this
well, I think we can do this in couple ways:
let me know if you prefer the 2nd choice.
2nd choice
I'm not comfortable putting it here, I don't really want people stumbling over it without understanding "why am I here".
So, pencil in the 2nd choice, I can also offer some resources while the traffic is light. We should discuss this further at the first meeting.
