Here are some possible venues that have been mentioned:
- Penn
- Drexel
- University of the Arts
- University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP)
- Frankilin Institute
- BaseKamp
I really favor the colleges, because (1) the facilities are a natural fit for what we need, and more importantly (2) there's a decent chance of picking up students, university staff, and faculty who would add to the community.
If you have contacts at any of these locations, feel free to start a discussion about possibly hosting a DrupalCamp, or, pass their info along to me and I'd be happy to reach out directly.

These are nice and central, but I have no idea whether they have wifi, for instance:

i work at the franklin institute and can be of assistance. we have a few possible spots and wifi should not be an issue. he room has many power outlets in the floor as well. let me know whats up -jim (jimshreds)
