Well our meeting went really great. We had a great turn out for our first meeting, 8 people total. We were surprised with 3 students from Francis Tuttle, which is fantastic, I hope we get lots more.

As far as I know, oklahoma has no active Drupal Users Group (DUG). Having spoken with a couple other OK based drupalers we'd all really like to see that change.
With Drupalcon DC coming, I'm personally out of town and busy until after that, but it's been proposed that perhaps a late March, early April meetup might be possible. There's also been some talk of the okcCoCo in this regard. I'm not really part of that at all so I can't make commitments for them, but if we need a place to meet I'm sure our offices will be enough to start (Other ideas welcome).

Eclipse and I just came back from Szeged, Hungary. We attended all 4 days of Drupalcon, and Eclipse also attended the code sprint. Anyone else planning on going to the next Drupalcon in March?
I am not a hard core developer, but it was still a very educational experience. There were several sessions that I could attend without being very technical, and I gathered much information about the community and the modules that are out there that could help our company. I would highly recommend it!

brand new to drupal...still reading about it..have not started/installed anything yet . glad to see that there is a 'support' group here in Oklahoma. Are their any meetings or do we just meet here, on line? For my first install what version would you recommend? I read that Ver 6 is not that well received yet. or should i start with Version 5?

For quite some time now the Oklahoma Drupal Developers Group has been very stagnate, I've requested ownership of the group so that we can actually start using it, and hopefully help really start developing a community of Drupalers in the oklahoma area. I've altered our name a bit so that it's shorter (requested from higher up the food chain here at g.d.o) and hopefully, a little less formal. With that said, I'm hoping real discussion here can begin soon. The group is now open, so no one will be waiting to be approved to join the group and all previously "joined" member are now approved.
