Calling all Corvallis and OSU area Drupalers
Are there any Corvallis area Drupal enthusiast out there?
If so, we should start a monthly meeting of the minds to talk coding, theming, and general Drupal tricks and fun.
Please post back if you are interested and we can get a poll or something setup to help determine the best day/time.

I'm looking for a developer/programmer/technical partner that is very experienced in Drupal, PHP, mySQL, AJAX, as well as iOS development for an emerging tech startup that will monetize greatly by reaching a national & then global market. I do, however, need someone that is pretty experienced in programming to help lead the company on that end. There is currently a fully functional prototype live and in QA testing, it needs to be stress tested and taken to the next level.

Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit October 14-16th
The Northwest Drupal Summit is taking place in Portland on October 14-16. It looks like there some good sessions being offered and this is a great way to connect with other Drupal users in the NW.
Might anyone else be interested in attending? The cost of the event is only $55 and if we can carpool and possibly share some lodging it would keep the cost of the trip to a minimum.

This is really simple, but I recommend everyone who hasn't read this, read it!
http://drupalwatchdog.com/1/1/whats-new-in-views-3
It just tells you what's what in the clearest way I've found. Since we all know views, its probably worth the 5 minutes.
Additionally,
Panels is still very strong in D7 I am realizing, now it has inroads to Views (Display view fields in Panel Layouts) and Display Suite (Re-Arrange Node Fields in Panel Layouts). Also, the Panels Contextual Editor (WYSIWYG) is fairly cool and intuitive.

Trying to keep up with the schedule here -
I talked with a local business owner in Talent about having our next meeting at his place, Picasso's Pantry, and he's thrilled! There's a big square table, $5/pasta and wireless internet! So, lets have our next meeting there, How about the 14th at 11:00AM? I'll call and let him know, and check to see if its available.
Would anyone like to present something this meeting? My ddblock stuff turned out to be lackluster - Personally I'd love if someone would illustrate the Context way vs. the Panels way for building a site.

Hey there community,
As referenced here, http://groups.drupal.org/node/139369#comment-471294, we tentatively agreed that the 23rd, this upcoming Saturday, at 11:30, we will hold a SODIG meeting at the Standing Stone Brewery in Ashland. Due to lack of time and effort, we haven't progressed much further in officializing our group meeting times and standards quite yet, but I am excited that eventually we'll get around to it.
Read moreSome updates from past meetings and a question about Drupalcamp Colorado
Updates:
1. We're moving towards presentation-based meetings
2. We're considering a more private location with a whiteboard (must also have internet access)
3. It would be nice to have a schedule of future meetings planned in advance
Question:
Is anyone going to Drupalcamp Colorado? I suppose we could carpool it over there - anyone have a van? A drupalvan? http://2011.drupalcampcolorado.org/register
