Oops sorry folks - Ryan pointed out the DCAPO announcement had already been posted here, don't know how I missed it, sorry for the spam! :( He asked me to delete it, but I don't seem able to do that [If I should be able to do that, and I am just being a dufus, someone please teach me how :) ]

So, anyway - given this exciting development, it would be very cool to see a bunch of you at DrupalSouth in January, so we can build momentum for a DrupalCon in our neck of the woods!

QLD DrupalCamp

A group of Brisbane Drupalers met today to discuss organizing our first DrupalCamp.

We are organising the camp for later this year, most likely in November.

Since we have a relatively small Drupal community here in Brisbane, compared to Sydney or Melbourne, we are hoping to attract/welcome interstate participants, as well as those coming from broader QLD.

I just received an email from Hannover Fairs saying the Drupal Conference has been cancelled. This is terrible news. I've already booked flights and what about the people coming from Asia and New Zealand. Are we getting our flights refunded?

Lullabot Training in Melbourne, Australia

I just heard on the lullabot podcast #53 that lullabot is going to Melbourne to run training sessions in April 2008.

With the Drupal Mini Conf after Linux Conference Australia, and Lonely Planet launching their drupal development in Melbourne, it seems like Melbourne is shaping up to be the “Drupal Capital” of the Southern hemisphere.
