Working group

People need to gain control of their own data and digital identities!!!

A Personal Data System (PDS) movement, with various players, is gaining momentum and trying to provide this capability to individuals. Read more on this movement from one such player at http://personaldataecosystem.org/ or google 'Personal Data System' for many links.

Our given group will use and extend Drupal to develop a PDS application for individual users and PDS-as-a-service providers. A Drupal 'Full Project' proposal will be submitted after we get organized.

The aim of this group is:

• to give members an opportunity to share their stories about building a website with Drupal for their startups
• to create a space for those willing to learn more about Drupal and ways it can help online businesses
• to foster a sense of entrepreneurship and, at the same time, offer technical guidance to those who may not be familiar with Drupal

Over time, it is hoped that this group will become an important part of the drupal community as more people come to learn Drupal for developing online businesses, be they ecommerce websites or social networks.

Drupal Coworking is for discussions and resources about Drupal-based coworking space management tools, and to feature physical coworking spaces where Drupal is a large or primary focus.

To those new to coworking, here's how Wikipedia describes it:

Coworking is the social gathering of a group of people, who are still working independently, but who share values, and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with talented people in the same space.

Buerger-gestalten.de is a project of interested citizens who want to promote the idea of open data for their city. The best known example is the project frankfurt-gestalten.de where the Frankfurt citizens can not only see events on a map, but can also initiate own initiatives.

This drupal project and group is an effort to create a software stack for those hyperlocal monitoring plattforms.

Technopark is an autonomous society promoted by the Government of Kerala, is India's first technology park and among the three largest IT parks in India today. The mission of this working group is to provide a high level communication channel between drupal developers who are working in various companies in Technopark.

Drupal Books in Libraries works to get more Drupal books in local libraries, through fundraising and purchasing books, getting publishers to donate books or from individuals looking to make a contribution for the benefit of their local community.

An open group formed to share and discuss Drupal-specific web management and content editing issues, for dual purposes:

1. To help each other solve issues we face as web managers and content editors

2. To formalize the solutions reached for eventual addition to Documentation and/or Support areas of Drupal.org
