A Drupal Team Lead is required for a 12month project based in London.

• Identifying technical solutions to implement business requirements
• Building solutions
• Component testing
• Integrating and documenting releases
• Providing technical leadership to other Drupal developers
• Providing estimates for technical delivery and changes

Technical skills required:-

• Building custom entities in:
• Drupal v7 (essential)
• Drupal v6 (desirable)

Additional information:-

I would like to move the site I administer into git, but want to make sure I do so responsibly.

What is the best practice for this -- only using a private repository on GitHub, or selectively moving files to GitHub (e.g., excluding settings.php and the database)?

The New York State Senate is seeking an experienced web developer to join the development team and help enhance the Senate’s website - NYSenate.gov. NYSenate.gov is built on the Drupal platform, and has been hailed as a leading public legislative website. It has been featured alongside whitehouse.gov during the keynote presentation at DrupalCon San Francisco in 2010.

Requirements:

• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, Node.JS, responsive/mobile design techniques

Hope you are all having a great summer! I am writing on the behalf of Bridge Technical Solutions (RI). We are seeking Subject Matter Experts who might be interested in contributing to our blog. This month, our theme is Drupal vs. Joomla! vs. WordPress. If you would like to share your thoughts and expertise, then we have the platform for you! Just write up a short blog entry explaining the benefits or disadvantages of using one technology over the other two.

On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September 2011 the first Drupal Commerce Camp will be held in Lucerne, Switzerland. The three-day event presents possibilities of Drupal for modern companies. Fresh and informative like a Drupal Camp, but it is intended not only to developers and users from the Drupal community, but the executives, managers and project managers from agencies, media houses, NGOs and businesses.

What will be presented

I'm looking at putting together an initiative that will look into the user experience of administrating a Drupal site through a non-desktop PC.

Road Map

1. Redesigning the navigation of the admin interface on small and touch screens.
2. Heavily modifying the 'Seven' Theme to become more responsive and mobile friendly

"Mobile User" Experience

The emphasis is not on the device, but on the context of the person using it. I would almost call it 'device agnostic'. What is important is that the user is not sitting at as desk facing a big screen. They could be on the bus, sitting in a cafe or walking back from work.
