We’re looking for a talented designer/developer to work with one of our clients at the Smithsonian Institution to help them build and maintain their web presence using Drupal. You’ll work with designers, content managers, and key stakeholders to create the next generation of websites for our Smithsonian client. You should be an experienced and motivated individual who can roll up their sleeves to tackle problems big and small, whether they’re front-end or back-end.

Hey, guys. Some good news: James over at Sensis is going to be submitting a UX presentation from his team through the site. He'll be doing this through the training contact form, which I told him would be fine, since that's the only way he can do this for now. So just wanted to let you all know to expect it.

I'm looking at putting together an initiative that will look into the user experience of administrating a Drupal site through a non-desktop PC.

Road Map

1. Redesigning the navigation of the admin interface on small and touch screens.
2. Heavily modifying the 'Seven' Theme to become more responsive and mobile friendly

"Mobile User" Experience

The emphasis is not on the device, but on the context of the person using it. I would almost call it 'device agnostic'. What is important is that the user is not sitting at as desk facing a big screen. They could be on the bus, sitting in a cafe or walking back from work.
