DrupalCamp

Bom dia,
Faz um tempo eu postei aqui que eu precisava de voluntários para ajudar a organizar o III DrupalCamp Campinas, o Gabriel px42 se voluntariou e entregou um ótimo layout (e tema!!) para o site, porém nada foi feito nos outros itens.

Acontece que por motivos pessoais (e por causa da minha viagem para a DrupalCon SF) não terei condições, no momento, de organizar tudo desta nova DrupalCamp. É um esforço grande, que toquei sozinho nos últimos dois eventos.

I'd like to get some feedback about what we learned about organizing Florida DrupalCamp 2010. Rather than scheduling a conference call (you're welcome), I'm hoping we can get some valuable feedback here.

I'll get us started by saying that we definitely learned that having CFCS as our 501(c)3 sponsor organization made a HUGE difference in how we were able to handle the finances for the event. I don't think we could have pulled off such a big event without their help.

Introducing a new DrupalCon event for 2010 - Drupal It Yourself! - A Community Unconference. We invite DrupalCon attendees to connect with participants from the larger tech community, members of other open source projects, and each other for a day of unconference-style presentations and conversations. This event will be free and open to all conference attendees PLUS non-attendees. Everyone with something to share is welcome to participate.

Eu estive conversando com o Px42 (que é uma das pessoas que se propuseram a fazer o layout do site) e ele me perguntou de referencias de Campinas, para usarmos nos site do evento.

As três coisas que eu pensei são:

This is a followup to the lightning talk at the February meetup. I wanted to post some facts and figures about the money that it takes to run a camp, and report on how awesome the sponsors were this year.

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to step up and be an "official" photographer for Florida DrupalCamp? Ideally, it would be someone (or multiple someones) who already isn't signed up to do anything during the camp. It would be great to have a bunch of photos from the camp posted somewhere that everyone has access to.

With Florida DrupalCamp less than 3 weeks away, I thought now would be a good time to give everyone a quick synopsis of what's going to be going on at the camp.

Registration has been open for over a month and so far, we have a little over 100 people signed up for the camp. The cost to register is $6.11, but if you're a student or work for a non-profit, we'll waive the fee. We have a hard-cap on attendance of 150, so be sure to register before it is too late.
