My observation is based on Indian perspective but it may apply to other countries as well.

Numerous drupalists from western countries have development partners in India but rarely do they meetup with their outsourcing partners in India. Even when they travel to India for fun, they may not even meetup/connect with their development partner. The outcome is the outsourcing relationship is short-lived.

Hi All,

Are there any training centres, organisations or groups in Chennai offering training in Drupal? I have looked high and low all over the web and even contacted those that were available online, but none of them are providing Drupal training anymore.

Colleges in India are looking for ways to organize more programs/events that enable students to become more usable in Industry. Many students in India are in the dark and don't have any clue as to what need to be done to become usable for the Industry.

my first weekend in chennai, dint have many frens that time,. and was browsing the net aimlessly,.

i came across Shyamala's post abt a so called 'drupal meet'

i had used drupal to make a few sites in college, but was fairly surprised that this thing has a 'community' here,.

i calld up shyamala and using reach arcopolis somehow using google maps. i couldnt go out with out maps in chennai those days.

I am Shyamala from Netlink Technologies Ltd. Netlink Technologies has been executing projects in Drupal for over a year and half now.

I was in Minneapolis for the Lullabot workshop in May. It was a fabulous experience. The local groups there function fabulously.
