Adding several events as one operation

I am in the process of revising our church website from D6 to D7, almost certainly using OpenChurch. In the D6 version I have used a custom-PHP way of adding the events for each week because the normal Drupal way of adding one event at a time is too cumbersome and would not be acceptable in our church office.

I have found previous posts about this and a D6 module called 'Multi Node Add'. Does anyone know of a D7 module or proposal that might help? I only need one targetted at adding a set of events (perhaps 10 at a time) adding initial content to 'title' and 'when' fields.

OpenChurch apps.js

I'm getting an error that I don't understand. I'm using the beta 1 version of openchurch, but it was happening when I was on the alpha 3 version as well. I'm not sure it is really an openchurch issue. I've created an issue report, but I thought I'd ask here as well.

The error is:

There was the following error - Manifest: http://173.254.28.25/~njumccom/?q=profiles/openchurch/apps.js Not Found

Openchurch & Story Content

Hi All,

Just purchased a new account for our church. For years I've been hosting our church website on my personal account.

Anyway, I installed OpenChurch and now have it setup (default setup) and have a question. I notice in OpenChurch there isn't a 'story' content type. Right now we are on a Drupal 6 implementation. We put our newletter on the website and use the story content type. I have two things I was hoping to do:

1) Continue to use "story" to do the newsletter articles and
2) have an easy way to export the data in our old site and import it into the new site.

Adding 3rd party App Stores to OpenChurch - an introduction

Several people have expressed interest in contributing back to the OpenChurch project.
The great news is that now with Apps, there is a functional way for 3rd parties to add their own modules/apps to OpenChurch as a way to extend functionality without baking everything into the core project.

See App Store screenshot: https://twitter.com/#!/drupalninja/status/184011723102101504/photo/1/large

OpenChurch Comments?

We are looking at upgrading our basic html website (http://www.johnstownascension.org/) to allow for easier content creation/editing along with new features (like event calendar). We could start with D6 or D7 and spend a lot (?) of time using off the shelf modules to get the features we want but I don't want to reinvent the wheel for basic functionality. At first glance the feature list for OpenChurch looks interesting and similar to what we would like to do.
